Excellent retrospective of Quincy Jones' most successful phase as orchestral arranger and band leader. Ray Charles' friend began his nearly 70-year career (during which he garnered 79 Grammy nominations) in jazz, playing the trumpet in the 1950s and learning how to arrange orchestras and musicians extensively. Jones later worked as Artistic and Music Director for various record companies before he met Michael Jackson in 1978, whose album production "Off The Wall" was to mark the beginning of a unique producer career that made him a legend.
