2020 EU reissue 180g vinyl LP - Ram is the 4th album from Paul McCartney to be reissued after the excellent reissues of McCartney I, McCartney II and Band On The Run. Ram was originally published in 1971 and contains the first number one hit song that McCartney had after The Beatles: Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey. When Ram was released McCartney was 28. He and his wife Linda (who died in 1998) wrote most of the songs together on a farm in southwest Scotland. In 1971 there were still a number of less positive reviews (including Rolling Stone magazine), but now the album is widely regarded as a masterpiece and everywhere rated five stars.
