On the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's birth, Ortofon released the 2M Black LVB 250 Exclusive Model.

Ortofon's 2M Black flagship is widely recognized as one of the best MM cartridges on the market, but that doesn't mean it can't be improved.

The 2M Black LVB 250 is built on the concepts of the 2M Black, but the performance of the 2M Black LVB 250 goes one step further to improve the capabilities and technical aspects of the element.

The 2M Black LVB 250 uses a Nude Shibata diamond on a Boron cantilever, a combination known from the acclaimed MC Cadenza Black pickup. The slim, highly polished profile of the Nude Shibata stylus provides an exceptionally wide contact area with the groove walls and provides remarkably detailed reproduction across the entire spectrum, including the highest frequencies.

The use of an extremely stiff and lightweight Boron cantilever adds remarkable transparency, speed and responsiveness.
