Like Oxygéne and Equinoxe, French wunderkind Jean Michel Jarre composed, performed and produced this, his 1981 album Les Chants Magnétiques. On the 5-part album, he continues to explore the electronic instrumental music he loves so much. If the first two albums were dedicated to nature, this was inspired by the effect of men on their environment. We hear the sounds of trains, wheels, metallic, mechanical noises which do not harm the ethereal, organic sounds, the musical texture which has become Jean Michel Jarre’s wonderful trademark.
