2017 EU reissue oon 180g LP=featuring the title track and single 'Rebel Rebel', 1974's Diamond Dogs was conceptually built off of George Orwell's dystopian classic 1984, brimming with tension and angst which stood in stark contrast to the disco music that was beginning to crowd the airwaves. It also displayed hints of Bowie's interest in the music he heard in America. However, authentic soul with a unique UK perspective meant this was far from being a homage.
